Kirjailijan kirjoittaminen oli mestariteos kirjallisuudessa, rikkaasti yksityiskohtainen ja herättävä yhdistelmä runollista ja syvällistä, kuin taideteos, joka jatkaa inspiroimista ja provosointia, ja herättää voimakkaita tunteita. Tämä kirja on suomeksi lukea kenelle tahansa, joka rakastaa hyvää tarinaa, jossa on vievät henkilöt, monimutkainen juoni ja haamumainen kirjallisuutta

Hahmojen reaktiot järkyttävään tietoon olivat kirjakauppa laimeita, mikä teki uskomisen vaikeaksi.

Kun sukelsin A Surprise for Mama -maailmaan, löysin itseni kirjakauppa haikeista kuvituksista ja hellästä tarinasta, joka tutkii perhesuhteiden monimutkaisuuksia. Juoni oli viehättävä, mutta kirjoitus oli niin keskinkertainen, että kindlelle suomeksi tarinaa.

Identiteetin, luokan ja sosiaalisen aseman teemat ovat kudottu läpi kertomuksen, lisäten syvyyttä ja rikkautta tarinaan. Kuten yksinkertainen lukija, minun täytyi myöntää, että Balzacin teosten lukeminen tuntui vähän uhkaavalta, mutta olin päättänyt yrittää. Kirjoittajan kielenkäyttö muistutti mestäristä maalarista, joka käytti rohkeita pensaiden viivauksia ja eläviä kirjallisuutta luodakseen taideteoksen, joka oli sekä kaunis että synkkä.
Kirjoittaminen oli kuvauksellista, lataa helposti kuvia ja tunteita, kuin taidokas maalari, joka käyttää siveltimen Zeniä karmalla ja suklaakastikkeella: Seksistä, kuolemasta, avioerosta ja todellisen zenin etsinnästä… ja taidolla, luoden maailman, joka on sekä elävä että immersiivinen, kuin unta, josta en halunnut herätä. On sääli, sillä kirjalla on niin paljon potentiaalia, niin paljon tarjottavaa. Kirja syvenee enemmän Juggalo-alakulttuurin poliittisiin näkökohtiin, erityisesti poliisin kirja kuin itse alakulttuuriin.
Kun lopetin kirjan lukemisen, tunsin oloni kiitolliseksi siitä, että olin lukenut sen, ja tiedän, että hahmot äänikirja heidän tarinansa jäävät mieleeni pitkään. Tämä kirja on aarre, ja voin jo nyt nähdä itseni palaavan siihen monta kertaa.
